The title Ederly is a city that exists beyond time, on the border of real life and dream. You could think it exists only to have the main character, Slow, arrive in it. The city and its inhabitants supress him. The temptation to give in and abandon his identity is very strong. Slow’s indecision (Slow is played by Mariusz Bonaszewski) is both worrying and amusing. The film can be defined as a surrealist comedy with elements of a crime film or a philosophical treaty on life. Unrealistic plot is supported by realistic visual layer, whereas black and white photos relate to silent film.
