We have the pleasure of announcing first information about this year’s edition of the Festival.

The 23rd edition of the Konfrontacje Teatralne will take place between October 3rd and 14th 2018. The curator’s of this edition are Łukasz Drewniak and Wojciech Majcherek who prepared the curatorial text that highlights the themes which guided them in the selection for the Festival. The theme of the Festival is What is there to think?

Their text is now available in the “Curratioral text” page on our website. Curators write, among others about the first performances in the programme. Among the creators who accepted our invitation were: Maja Kleczewska with the monumental production Under the Influence from the Śląski Theatre  in Katowice or the Ludowy Theatre from Cracow with the film The Secret Life of Friedmans inspired by the film. There is also a section of performances based on the classics of Russian literature – Uncle Vanya from the Polish Theater in Warsaw, Three Sisters from the Lublin ‘s Osterwa Theatre.

We will announce a detailed programme soon, we encourage you to follow our website and social media. There will be plenty of discussions, meetings and film screenings.
