The first monodrama of Anna Planeta was based on sixty verses from a Greek tragedy in which the artists discovered an unusual scale of emotions and passion. They were interested not only in the semantic layer of the text, but also melody and rhythm of Greek, dissecting sonic matter into sounds, syllables, vowels, consonants. Medea’s monologue provided them with an inspiration to develop the whole theatrical macrocosm in which you can hear heartbreaking weeping, yelling, singing and hysteria.
