Rosa Luxemburg, whose remarks on the future of global capital and the related dangers serve as one of the most important points of reference for economic theorists and political philosophers, still remains a controversial figure in Poland. She is not commonly known and appreciated as a thinker, and the most widespread ideas concerning her theories are an excuse to attack her as an opponent of Polish aspirations for independence.
“Rosa” takes as its starting point the work and political activities of the German-Polish theorists and revolutionary. Our focus is, however, not her biography, but an attempt to transplant her considerations into the “imagined today.” What would happen if the places we know were inhabited by other ghosts? Or by alternative history? How could the contemporary societies look like, if the ideas of Rosa Luxemburg had a real impact on their formation? What would happen to economic relations?
