The full programme of the 24th edition of the Konfrontacje Teatralne Festival has been announced. The Festival will take place between October 5th and 15th, 2019.

This year the Lublin’s audience will have an chance to see performances from Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and a selection of Polish productions. In the programme – last performance made by the legendary Lithuanian theatre maker, Eimuntas Nekrosius – “Zink (Zn)” based on excerpts of two books by the Literary Nobel Award winner, Svitlana Alexievich. Also, for the first time in Poland, a production directed by the Russian acclaimmed maker, Kirill Serebrennikov -“The Town Nearby” from the Latvian National Theatre. Among the Polish productions we will see both most recognized shows from the previous season, by makers such as Agnieszka Glińska, Cezary Tomaszewski or Piotr Cieplak. Also, returning to the tradition of the first festivals, an outdoor performance for the opening of the Festival – “Silence” by Biuro Podróży Theatre.

The main programme will be completed by numerous accompanying events, such as screenings, concerts and an exhibition.
