Butoh dance is a unique form of talking about emotions and problems of human existence. A story told by body, expression of movement, contains the inner memory of being along with sensual memory. Human body preserves unrealized truth, remembers, and does not lie. Atsushi Takenouchi tells about human existence as if it was a drop falling into water. There appear waves, circles with one center, trembling of the surface, forms which last for a moment only. Then everything disappears. However, during this short transitory moment of life we are a child, woman, man, old man. Are these different forms of life or is it the same man all the time? – the Bhutoh dancer wonders. Is there a miraculous image which embodies them all? He is searching for this image dancing. Each day and each night become a reason for his investigation on how a drop falls into the water of life
