The Jeans Generation is a monologue about jeans, rock and freedom. Its action starts during the Soviet times when everything which related to Western life was forbidden. You could be arrested by the KGB for selling jeans. Then it moves to modern times. The Byelorussian regime arrests our protagonist and his friends accused of kidnapping. It is a song of still another generation that has to fight for freedom in their own country. Every country has such a generation. There are recollections from Lithuania, Poland and Czechoslovakia, and their freedom fighters Jeans are s symbol of freedom for still another generation – says Khalezin – nobody has ever seen Lukashenko in jeans … he is always dressed in dark suits and grey shirts…
