Rabbit, Death and Riding Contest is a solo created and performed by Rafał Dziemidok, on which he worked at the Studio Berlin in Praga, Warsaw. The artist described it as “an invitation to be close, without the need to tell a story”, “an observation of time” and “an organized way in which the dancer and the viewer are getting older.” The process of working on the performance he describes as an unreserved stream of associations, ideas and images. Rejecting the necessity to think and have a concept. Opposing the need to write about a performance, coming up with catchphrases, explaining anything.”
Rafał Dziemidok in an independent dancer, actor and choreographer. He worked with Dada von Bzdulow, Gdańsk Dance Theatre, Compagnie Yvette Bozsik. His choreographies are presented on stages and festivals in Poland and abroad. He also creates choreographies and performs in theatre and film. In 2007 he received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Since 2005 he is part of the Artistic Group Koncentrat.
