Provisorium Theatre was founded by a group of Lublin students. Since 1976 its Art Director has been Janusz Opryński. The performances of the Theatre belonged to the most important presentations in the opinion of the rebellious Polish intellectuals of the 70s and 80s. Teatr Provisorium has co-operated with Kompania Teatr for a year; the company which was founded by three actors of the Lublin Teatr Lalki i Aktora.
“Koniec wieku” (The End of Age) is the first mutual performance of the two theatres. The play is not a theatrical vesion of Albert Camus’ novel. Adopting Camus’ motives the performance creators try to diagnose the passing millennium.
