Centro Teatrale Pontedera – The Centre of Research and Experimental Theatre was founded and directed by Roberto Bacci in mid 70s became one of the capitals of the contemporary avant-garde theatre. The most outstanding artists of the contemporary theatre co-operated with the theatre from Pontedera. “The Faulty Life: Secret Memorial For Pinnocchio” refers to the 19th century local newspaper story about a monster girl who became a circuis attraction, and was found dead hung on a trapeze. Roberto Bacci links this story with the adventures of Pinnocchio, a wooden boy who was the protagonist of Collodi’s novel.
