Scena Plastyczna KUL Theatre was founded in 1969. The third play of the Theatre entitled Wieczerza (The Supper) was already fully authored by Leszek Mądzik. Since the performance the word disappeared from their dramas, and they became a combination of art forms and music. “Kir” – the fifteenth performance of Scena Plastyczna – is woven out of dramatic pictures and music by Jan A.P. Kaczmarek.
“The Pall” – wrote Mirosław Haponiuk in a review after the first performance of the play – continues the motives and poetry that were present in earlier performances by Leszek Mądzik. As in the previous performances he obsessively looks for the theatrical sign for eschatological motifs. Moreover, it is to be a sign which can evoke both light and darkness. Leszek Mądzik manipulates the thetarical spaces in an incredible way. In a small room he creates the illusion of a vast space, both removing the audience away and bringing it closer to the stage; he destroys our feeling of balance. The Pall is a topical supplement of the previous performances of the Theatre.
