Six years have passed since Ferdydurke’s premiere and we returned to Gombrowicz once again. The year of Gombrowicz provides a splendid opportunity for undertaking such challenge. We looked for a crazy, devilishly comical text, still meaningful nowadays, provoking to a new interpretation, and “wisely cruel’. It turned out to be Trans-Atlantyk. We moved the secret cargo from Gombrowicz’s pirate ship to a Polish clattering britzka. And to the rhythms of wild oberek and Argentinean tango we launched our journey along the pathless tracts of a Polish soul” – the artists comment on their new encounter with Gombrowicz.
