‘Waltz with Bashir’ is a moving animated documentary about the post-traumatic stress disorder. It is also a form of auto-therapy of the director – Ari Forman, who – at the time of his military service – was a witness of massacre of the Palestinian civilians, which was perpetrated in 1982 in the Lebanese refugee camps Sabra and Shatila. Waltz is also a story about the current political situation in Israel and the director clearly voices his opinion on the matter. The stunningly beautiful shots and drawings within the poetics of dream emphasize the hell of war and expose its nonsense.

The film received numerous prizes during some most prestigious festivals.
