Teresa Budzisz-Krzyżanowska – one of the most outstanding Polish actresses, a graduate of The Ludwik Solski State School of Drama in Cracow has for many years been connected with theatres from Cracow. Since 1984 she has worked in Warsaw, first in Theatre Studio, now in The National Theatre. She also teaches acting at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy. She played many magnificent roles like Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Rachela in The Wedding, Klitaimestra in Oresteia, Arkadina in The Pewit. She also created a unique masculine role playing Hamlet.
Teresa Budzisz-Krzyżanowska’s way of acting is thought to be perfectly balanced, lacks excessive form and emotions. She knows how to mark or even point out the moments of tension, and clearly sketch the picture of the protagonist.
Teresa Budzisz-Krzyżanowska will meet the Festival audience to ponder for a while over the charm and wisdom of Zbigniew Herbert’s poetry.
