In June 2008, Janek Turkowski, curator of the Kontrapunkt Festival in Szczecin and collaborator of the Kana Theatre, coincidentally came into possession of private videos, formerly belonging to a resident of the German borderland. The project entails screening video material using a multimedia projector as well as an 8mm projector accompanied by Janek’s narrative of how he came across this archival footage. Despite his project gaining virtually no recognition among the Polish performing arts circles, it has already been presented on some of the most important European festivals (Dublin Theatre Festival, Noorderzorn in Groningen, Bastard in Trondheim, among others) as well as shown by numerous theatre institutions in Belgium and Germany. It will be presented in Lublin for the first time.
