Lonker See is a quartet from Trójmiasto that took the Polish independent music scene by storm. From the very first release, they aroused the interest of fans and critics. Successive releases only strengthened their position on the market. Now the band is back with the album “Time Out”.

Lonker See started his musical activity as an ambient-guitar duo that quickly turned into a quartet. The band members met for the first time in a recording studio in 2016. The result of this meeting is the band’s first album entitled “Split Image” released by MITW. Already on the first album you can see what is most important for Lonker See – the sound and own style of playing, which is created at the meeting point of four personalities.

Joanna Kucharska (Bass, vocals), Bartosz Boro Borowski (Guitars), Michał Gos (Drums) and Tomasz Gadecki (Saxophones) together create spatial music that intrigues, hypnotizes and draws the listener into a wide spectrum of musical genres. You can hear space rock, psychedelic music, jazz, free jazz and ambient. Long forms full of improvised elements are intertwined here with very specific melodies and strong grooves, and the tension is built by skilful use of dynamics and emotions.
In 2018, Instant Classic released the album “One Eye Sees Red”, very well received in the country and in the world, which sparked interest in the band abroad. LS has played very well received concerts in Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Serbia, Hungary, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands, both on festival and local stages. At the beginning of 2020, the band released the album “Hamza” (Antena Krzyku), which was enthusiastically received by the audience and critics. Before the pandemic
we managed to play a premiere tour in Poland and 2/3 of the planned European tour. During the pandemic, the band started to create new material, which resulted in the band’s latest album “Time Out” – the title refers to an unplanned break that caused a reevaluation, creative brainstorming and looking for new ways to create music.
