The story of the beautiful Yvonna takes place at the court, a place where the ideal of beauty is cultivated. The vagueness of the character and her bad behavior irritates everybody. Prince Philip is provoked to go outside the traditional scheme. Prince deliberately wants to violate the court etiquette, and incite a scandal in order to change the established forms. However, it influences neither Yvonna, nor her spiritual isolation or formal alienation. She does not want to adapt. Her presence becomes unbearable for the whole court. Her mysterious force brings about destructive effects. Whenever Yvonna enters the scene her presence is a danger. Anxiety spreads; everybody gets frightened by that uncontrollable force, which terrorizes the court. Yvonna has to leave. She has to be killed, eliminated by the royal cooks in a civilised way, and without any interference, as if she has never existed.
