“Ostrów Watering Resort”, the latest play by Paweł Huelle, an author of the widely acclaimed “Weisser Dawidek”, was commissioned by the Osterwa Theatre in Lublin. It offers an impressive panorama of the most recent history of Poland inscribed into the private history of a certain family. The family succeeds in regaining the property which they lost as a result of the political changes following the last war, but its members are not capable of offering each other love and affection. Money and passion divide the family, the house where they live together “ceases to be a peaceful shelter. It is rather a drag on them.
